Here's a challenging question for actuaries: At any given moment, is the number of people who have ever died greater, the same as, or less than the number of people who are alive at that moment? The answer (if there is one) is relevant to whether reincarnation is real, and if so, the nature, format and/or mechanism thereof.

Ahh but perhaps we should swap the word people to animals as the reincarnationists believe we can come back as pussies.This would make it much harder to count because we haven't taken a census of animals.
It does beg the question of whether people come back as animals sometimes. I think, why the hell not? But still, I imagine that there are the same number of souls IN EXISTENCE at all times, only on different planes at any given time. Wow, I broke a sweat on this one!
