An interesting point that one of the size acceptance bloggers brought up is that the image of the fat uber-rich person is no longer valid. These days the uber-rich are toned and tan with cell phone in hand, dashing oh so dashingly into their limousines and Rolls Royces. They can afford to go to gyms and consult with nutritionalists. In the past, as one can find in novels such as Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy, the aristocrats were portrayed as portly and robust because they often had access to the very finest food and drink while the lower classes had to get by on more meager fare. These days, many among the lower classes are overweight because while there is food available, at least in first world societies, the quality of the food they can afford which will sustain them from being hungry is lacking nutritionally even if it is not lacking calorically. There are also a lot of food additives which tend to keep the system toxic. Anyway, just a (blathery) observation and I do agree absolutely about these greedy bastards and the need to stop letting them have special privileges.
Hi Cie, thanks for your comment. Yes there's much less gout and far more botox!
What you say about humankind's "food systems" is not so much blathery as true and tragic for it.
Not only is it true that you are what you eat. You are what your neighbour eats.
Gomething to say? Come on... gimme your best shot!
