attacked reality star left for dead

What's wrong with this headline: "Attacked reality star left for dead" (Daily Telegraph 26/10/11)?

To me, it reads awkwardly. Then of course, there's the fact that there should be no such thing as a reality "star." As a proofreader, I would correct it to "Reality star attacked, left for dead."

Hi Faycin, yes I had in mind "reality star". Boiling it down to its essentials: "an unknown, well-known person".

Whether this contradiction-in-terms is interesting or significant enough to warrant being posted in a blog, is another matter!

Thanks for stopping by.

Or it could be a star, that in reality was a massive, luminous ball of plasma held together by gravity. It was attacked by a black hole and gravitationally collapsed resulting in death.
