but not as we know it...

Who or what is it that asks this question?
Is it me, really me? Tat Tvam Asi.
Which me? The Good Me or the Bad Me?
The Light Me or the Dark Me?
The Young Me or the Old Me?
The Small Me or the Big Me?
Or the Me writing these words?
Or all of us? All of the time?
Is it consensual? Do we vote?
Is it majority rules?

Deep stuff. Profound.
As profoundly deep as the
soundless depths of the profoundly deaf.
The kind of profundity that were you to point to it and ask any politician,
"Is this profundity?"
Ze would respond, "…that's not the question.
The Real Question is …"

I don't know what the real question is. But the answer is 42.

Is that what you do all day, SRS? Stand between two mirrors and diddle with infinity?

SHUBHAJIT said...

We are just 'I'. But the real I within is without any I.

Rose, the real question is anything that enables the person (usually a politician) being questioned to avoid the original question. As to what the answer to the real question is, sorry, but I never learned my six or seven times table. I never felt that doing so would be of any great xignificance. I'm sure Zaphod Beeblebrox would concur. Thanks for stopping by, MM.

Shubhajit, I think the "I" is one of those things that if you look at it too sharply, it disappears! One of the fascinating questions is: Which "I"? Because it can never be the same, from moment to moment. Thanks for your comment, Cheers, MM.

Antares, can you think of anything better to do? How else would one achieve an eternal orgasm?! Thanks for stopping by, regards, MM
